The spectacular regatta, organized according to tradition in collaboration with the historic Venetian yacht club <i>Compagnia della Vela, <\/i>once again saw 41 boats competing from the Lido of Venice to the Island of San Giorgio, striving to be the first on the finish line and the best in the galley.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1316 aligncenter\" alt=\"Spcc2014_interna (2)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-2.jpg\" width=\"641\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-2.jpg 641w, https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-2-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px\" \/>The winners\u2019 proclamation finally arrived as the sun went down in the astonishing backdrop of the Venetian Lagoon, at the end of a thrilling day, started off early in the morning at the Rialto outdoor market,where chefs met to hand-pick the ingredients chosen for their recipes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The <b>boat &#8220;MisterX 3&#8221;<\/b>, with the chef Karen Boscolo Meneguolo of the resturant <i>El Gato di Chioggia<\/i> on board, won the <b>S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup <\/b>trophy. The<b> Inside the Cooking, <\/b>a real race within the race involving ten boats from S.Pellegrino international markets, each with a young chef onboard, representing <b>Australia, Korea, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Italy, Canada, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and the USA<\/b>, saw the victory of the Russian boat.<br \/>These unique awards are assigned basing on a ranking that takes in consideration the boat performance and the chef\u2019s work at the same time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But the true star of this year edition is the chef <b>Sergey  Berezutskiy, <\/b>winner of the <b>Acqua Panna &amp; S.Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year 2014 Award<\/b><b>. <\/b>He captured the attention of the Jury during two key moments with his signature dish <i>Mackerel with watermelon, crispy beetroot \u201crisotto\u201d and the chechil cheese <\/i>and during the regatta, when he brought aboard the Timoteo the <i>\u201cTwo ways\u201d, the langoustines with artichokes smoked in birch bark with zucchini and tomatoes<\/i><b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1315 aligncenter\" alt=\"Spcc2014_interna (1)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-1.jpg\" width=\"618\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-1.jpg 618w, https:\/\/www.mkeventi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Spcc2014_interna-1-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Each chef\u2019s dish has been evaluated according to four criteria: presentation, difficulty of execution, taste and proper pairing with wine and water. <i>\u201cI still do not believe that I have received this award <\/i>\u2013 commented Sergey  Berezutskiy &#8211;<i> It is like a dream coming true. It is a real honour and I hope that this will help to create interest in my cuisine. The experience on the boat was really challenging, but at the same time it was the most exciting moment. I am glad that my efforts have been appreciated by the jury.\u201d<\/i><br \/><i> <\/i><br \/>The second place in the Acqua Panna &amp; S.Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year 2014 Award went to the Belgian chef Thomas Troupin, while The German chef Kirill Kinfelt achieved the third place.<br \/><i> <\/i><br \/>Also the coveted <b>People\u2019s Choice Award<\/b>, assigned by the guests of the inaugural dinner, voting along with renowned gourmet experts, has been assigned to Thomas Troupin and <i>his Egg 63\u00b0C, creamy brown butter emulsion, sherry &amp; porcini mushrooms cream, lardo di colonnata<\/i>. <i>\u201cI was not expecting to receive such award \u2013 he commented \u2013 and I am very proud because I am working really hard  to promote Belgian cuisine and its local products around the world, for example with the project Generation W. For sure this recognition will give a contribution to elevate the awareness of our cuisine\u201d.<\/i><br \/>Last but not least, the brand new <b>Critics\u2019 Choice Award<\/b>, assigned by a Jury of journalists, a S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup 2014 novelty, went to the Israeli chef Ahmad Salameh, who presented his <i>Black garlic cannelloni filled with duck<\/i>, that commented<i> \u201cI am so glad for this award.
